Who We Are

SVLAS provides free legal services in civil cases to the low-income residents of southwestern Virginia.  We have three offices but all applications are taken through our centralized intake unit.  The toll-free number for the intake unit is 1-888-201-2772.  The intake unit accepts applications Monday through Friday.  You may also apply online at http://www.svlas.org.

Income Guidelines

Up to 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines in some circumstances - we can deduct some work and health related expenses from income to determine financial eligibility. In addition, we will consider your assets in determining eligibility.

We do not handle traffic tickets or criminal cases. We also can not represent a person who is incarcerated.
